Are you sure it was a SF 240?

Here you have a very similar station and the movement is not 240:

That one 200% wasn't the sf240,just look at the case back and the lack of opening for the regulator over balance bridge.It's the same movement as on the photo EP posted.

Phew! You guys are right, and I should’ve known, I got one with that kind of 8 day movement years ago. I dodged a bullet there, then!

Yes ... exactly as I was referring to ... I have the same clock I bought many years ago .. it is definitely NOT an SF240.

You can tell by the hands ... those types of hands and the age of the clock ... Not a 240!

So whomever got it for $500+ after all the fees .. hopefully they are a clock collector :lol:

Hands are not such a reliable criterion,here is a photo of my Mathey Tissot branded foursome with hands very simmilar to those,but with a sf240 mov.inside.
