No problems with water.
The only thing is that swimming pool water (chlorine) affects the finish leaving white stains. But it can be cleaned.
What about dings and bruises? How tough it is? Compared to steel or bronze?
It's not more scratch-resistant than those materials BUT the hair scratches you get in steel/bronze are not visible here (they might be there but you can't see them). If you try to remove material from it, you will succeed but it's hard to see.
About dings: you cannot see them and I would say it's more resistant.
