this little 8 day was a members inspiration he was so enthusiastic about it it made it a pleasure to work out the obstacles of fitting a fat little 8 day in this little 44mm case. hands, dial, mvt ring and modified case back done in house, as well as altering the case to stuff it all together in a tight little (heavy) package.
i hope he enjoys it!

Have you done any more 44mm 8-day builds? This could be a big thing.

I’ve got a NZ modified mini fiddy a while ago and squeezed a 240 inside. They are definitely doable.
I was about to get all excited again... then I realized it’s one of those April posts

Except for the 3646, I am over the 47mm cases. Please post pictures.

Re: little 8 day lefty
Luminor Here are parts of a tHread I copied over from Hf v1
Over the last 18 months or so, I have bought 2 6152s and sold them after a few days of test driving on my wrists. I have always found them to be overpowering in size. That pretty much left me out in the cold with regards to owning a vintage homage watch with an iconic Panerais CG.....or so I thought....until I started noticing various mini fiddy builds that looked brilliant - you guys know who you are - I have asked many question and made mental notes of these builds.
The mini fiddy has always been at the back of my mind, I never took action to buy one - Have I mentioned I despise Jackson's website and do not have the patience to look for anything on his website? Oh well....there, I said it.
Fast forward many months, and I managed to get this neckyzips modified/ reshaped mini fiddy case. he had gotten his dirty hands on this baby...I wasn't even sure what work was done to her. All I know is that the CG feels perfect....and that plexi (which I assumed has been worked over is solid!)
Brass crown tube, roller CG. Mated to one of my favorite colored dials and style of hands.
Plain case back, I'm wondering if NWs display case back will fit on this version of the case. The movement and spacer did require slight modifications so that the crown would not bump into the movement. There isn't much space to to fit the movement in there.
She is now attached to a blueradish custom strap and buckle
Comparing a borrowed 47mm case left to the mini....hmmmmm. The mini seems thicker.
Mini at the bottom
Mini on the right
Hmmmmm...everything so far doesn't seem to be enough of a difference to make the watch seem big till you look at this view. The dial is bigger AND looks much bigger IMO
And most importantly wears smaller.....it's amazing what a difference couple of mm here and there can make.
Updated pics.
Dials are like shoes....another update to match the engravings on the movement.
