A 26 year old ATH S1 fly reel which had a frozen roller bearing.
An easy fix after doing some thinking.

Ari T Hart Reels are truely works of art. I’m jealous!
The funny thing is that it initially was sent to a pro who claimed that it was not possible to repair it, "not possible" was not at home when I knocked the door....

I agree, it is a very special fly reel and most sought after, this one is now in the $500-$600 range. There is a disc brake system inside the aluminum hub and the roller bearing is one of those which goes forward freely and it locks if you try to spin backwards.

Faux-lite bezel 1.0
Still need to work out the kinks. Like refrain from touching until it dries. But it’s a start

Ok M, I am convinced that you can fix about anything you set out to. Very talented indeed!

Oh and a very nice reel as well.

Just tired of wrong size/diameter spring bars from any manufacture for my 6152 builds. As we use to say here - If you want something to be done properly, then do it yourself. All parts are stainless steel. Now I’m satisfied.

Do you offer that or is just a one-off occasion?

Occasionally. It's a way smarter to manufacture them at a factory by thousands, not hand made piece by piece ;)
