Just today I was scavenging the classifieds for one of these and for the first time noticed the little illustrations of a storm and the sun on the barometer... I thought to myself how beautifully intricate they were. How are they mounted?Yoda wrote: ↑March 13th, 2021, 10:28 am I decided to sort some parts and ended up with the Angelus parts from many conversions. Sometimes the owner doesn't want the case and I had two empty Lilliput cases myself. So I removed all screws and useable parts and had this idea.
I popped the crystals, removed the clearcoat from the frames and brushed with a pad, polished a little afterwards and fitted a barometer and a themometer in the two single frames from the Lilliput SF240 travel clocks.
I think that I will fit them either in a nice stand or in a board and hang it on the wall, better than throwing away these old parts.
