i think these movements are even older then me!!!

Well the serial number dates it to late 1910 or early 1911 so unless you're 107 then it's older than you..lol. The problem I have with the design on this one is the setting lever sticking out of the side of the case. That and the fact that it's got to be over 50mm to hold that 16 size 992 movement.

This is why I can't love a modern quartz.
This is the Mondaine Stop2go movement.
It's all battery. It's a cool watch, and the idea of doing the full dial in 58 seconds, while pausing at the minute change, like in the train stations in Switzerland, is cool.
That said, it's not pretty like most mechanical movements. ImageImage
