Dial question

A question to the seasoned builders.

How thick or how thin a dial can be used in a welded lug case with a SF240 in there?

I could measure myself, but I am not really able to get around in my shop on these four wheels I am forced to put up with for a bit more.

Depends on movement ring but 2mm fits there.
1pcs dial is also ok but will be annoying gap on bezel if its designed for 3pcs

Sounds good, thank you! I aim at a no seconds build and I have one of those rings to fill out a gap.

Yes, a regular thin dial with backing plate is more than enough.

Esdee version takes 39mm dials but River's 37mm

I had 2 esdee welded lug builds one bronze one blasted steel. As I remember dial was indeed 39mm and I never used a spacer or 3 piece

Thanks! I assume that I will have to measure a little before housing my best SF240. One dark, windy, cold and damp evening this autumn......

It will take a thin dial but you have to a rind around bezel so to eliminate the space left between the in of the bezel and the dial. This is for a dial with subseconds.

If your want to use a dial with only hour and minutes then a 2mm or a 3piece is OK.

Both situations use a 39mm dial. You have to use dial stickers to secure the dial on the movement, as movement ring's rehault is shallow and dial will be on top of it.
