I have been "forced" to write down everything I have in my shop and my daughter Nina have been poking around in my cases, boxes, cupboards and what not.

We have finished the tool business, but today she said: "dad, you have 143 working movements, we need to do a list and try to establish an estimate....."

Me: "later, I am not going to die today or any day soon".

Damn...

Thats a lot. Like really a lot. I could never even keep track of that. Or remember where I put what and what state each movement is in, let alone remember what they're worth..

I might probably have a similar issue with bike parts for japanese choppers. I recently received a call from my parents (where I have my workshop), asking if I would really need six sets of the same front suspension stored above the gardening tools, if I only have two bikes and only one up and running. Oddly enough I know exactly which bike they each came from, even though I never bothered to mark them.
