Bought today on flea market...

Hi,
Bought this nice stand today on flea market really cheap...
Will make a nice drilling stand for dremel tool.
Hence does anyone knows what is this exactly?
It has solid steel base 30mm thick..

Nice find. It could have originally been used for many things along the lines of a drill press, but nothing pops into my head.
