Seiko (nearly) 3-day movement

So there is this pretty new Seiko movement with a 70hr power reserve, the 6R35. Very impressive!

Most recently, It's found its way into the new Alpinist watches and some Presage models as well.

The new Sumo, SBDC083 has it, too.

My guess is that this new movement will replace the 6R15 in all the models that currently use it.

I think I only have 1 seiko based watch.....

Are these a good option when building a homage? Is the offset and specs similar to a 2824? Are the movements available easily?

I don't think the new movements are available easily, yet. You can find some NH35's easily enough.

Here some specs for an older movement, the new ones should be similar. I found that the 4R35(same as NH35) is 5.3mm high.

7S26B:
Dm= 27.0mm, Do= 27.4mm
H= 5.0mm (ball bearing +0.15mm, dial spacer +0.25mm)
F= 1.65mm
T= 1.75mm
Hands: 1.50 x 0.90 x 0.20mm

2824-2:
Dm= 25.6mm, Do= 26.0mm
H= 4.6mm (H= 4.7mm with ball bearing)
F= 1.2mm
T= 1.8mm
Hands: 1.50 x 0.90 x 0.25mm

F - mounting height, distance between dial plane* and mounting flange.
T - stem height, distance between dial plane* and stem center.

Although the hour and minute hands are supposed to be the same but I have read that they are actually not. I remember reading that the Seiko hour hand is acttually 1.51 or so and the minute might be 0.89.
