No bumble ,its in Sweden so i thought you would like to know.
The looked nice but no wow factor ,besides i like the sporty massive watches with a few exceptions.
Just some people wanting to produce watches in their country that's not bad!The part they try to make something in Sweden is the news not the actual watch!
Watch is made entirely in Sweden and they say that they use Swiss made Sourced movement kits assembled by them, they don't hide anything if that's what you meant
Once again what wrong with ETA? ,its the most durable movement in use today for sport/dive watches ,my IWC aquatimer diver has an ETA based movement assembled by IWC, Hublot uses ETA designed movements in their divers and the list goes on ,you will be surprised how many Swiss Makers use ETA designed calibers .They either buy it as a kit and assemble on their own ,or they get permission to reproduce their design with some modifications (patent is over but copyright is still on).

The marketing hype is a bit much imo. That’s just me being a bit jaded by marketing of watches now.
An example.
The precision certified engraving on the rotor .... by whom? In house... irks me a little.

Ohhh no not hostile at all! I was misunderstood! Sorry!
I respect your opinion and of others as well and i really like talking with you guys.In fact like i said before i like the way you are very direct and truthful many times, right on the spot!
Perhaps we should establish the YODA seal of approval and Quality!
I know what you mean for the "hype" there is always the hot air factor !
!
Marketing is the seller these days not the value or quality! I see that in Audio as well which is my other passion!!
What i wanted to point out ,and this has nothing to do with the article here ,just grabbed the chance to say it and it was not pointed at you in no way,was about ETA .
is that In many watch forums allot starting bashing on a watch on they see that it has an ETA based or designed movement ,with out basically knowing basic watch knowledge, probably to justify the price of their highly paid watch which in fact probably has an eta licensed movement. Factories choose them for their endurance because even if the build high end quality movements like IWC they know that they want survive the beating of dive watch if and when used as it was intended. So best way is the "walked way" like say here!
I have a friend who is an industrial engineer and a Naval engineer ,he designs and builds cruise ships ,and when he did a Masters degree in Geneva ,they had a 15 day training at Grechen tech center where (Swatch group) design is .he was impressed with the amount of technical development ,processing and testing was going on there. He said it looked like i was working in an Intel cpu factory!

I love underdogs, I like how they source locally produced metals etc. but too many companies over hype and under deliver. I have a lost watch brands I won’t buy from because of that.

In my opinion using ETA is sad.Alou wrote: ↑April 4th, 2020, 12:44 pm Once again what wrong with ETA? ,its the most durable movement in use today for sport/dive watches ,my IWC aquatimer diver has an ETA based movement assembled by IWC, Hublot uses ETA designed movements in their divers and the list goes on ,you will be surprised how many Swiss Makers use ETA designed calibers .They either buy it as a kit and assemble on their own ,or they get permission to reproduce their design with some modifications (patent is over but copyright is still on).
It's an old and pretty much outdated movement from about 1971.
If you start digging up information and movements from around and before the 70's quartz crisis it's insane.
Everything ETA's and it user's marketing sells as news is ancient stuff.
Shock protections like Incabloc and KIF from the 1930's, Glucydur, Nivarox and other alloyes etc.
All used in now vintage watches. Nothing new really. Just mass production. Sadly in lesser and lesser quality though.
A 70's Unitas 6497 has more rugged steel parts as a new ETA 6497-1. I prefer to use the old ones, just as the spare parts.
( They use mild steel for production nowadays and no more tempering at the end, saving a swiss franc or two on every single movement )
From the viewpoint of new / microbrands there are so many alternatives.
If they buy from the factory ( I think everybody gets assembled movements they just disassemble them again etc. ),
they could do that from Soprod for instance. Way more rare movements to come by.
But there are brands producing individual movement designs based on 2824-s and 6497-98-s as well.
Or they could let someone make a special design utilizing the ETA gear train and parts
but with absolutely different bridges, Roamer like placing of hacking feature, maybe a freepsrung balance design etc.
Like these guys. I personally don't like the design but at least they're trying: http://www.garrick.co.uk/evolution/
Using ETA is just the most obvious and easy way.

Interesting, in the second link you posted I noticed the short video of the case back being installed. No crown tube? You think they install those after the movement has been installed?

I found a site on youtube last night. "Knife Making Tuesdays" It's crazy to see where he started in 2011 and where he is today. He decided to dedicate a Tuesday to his knife making hobby. I'd like to start a similar channel "Watchmaking Wednesdays"
