It hasn't happened in 10 years

...doing so little...

I have two queues, 1 and 2.

Number 1 is the straight line, number 2 is when someone comes by and wants a battery replacement or a new strap, or both. It can be other things, easy fixes so to speak.

I once thought of queue A and B, but then someone would feel the A is for premium customers and B is for unfortunate fuckers. It is NOT the case!

Sometimes I am waiting for parts, sometimes I am not feeling well, sometimes I am pretty much in the dark about what to do next with a difficult repair.

I picked a Shatz Marine clock from the number 1 queue yesterday (I have had it for a year) and removed a lot of green and black stuff from the bridges, green stuff and rust from the arbors and made a new escape wheel arbor as it was completely gone because of the mineral oil used. This clock has been in a box for 40 years since the last service with mineral oil and grease, full pressure on both barrels, which had made some of the the holes oval....go figure..

So, this month I have only repaired one clock, only shipped two parcels, patience is the name of this game.

Most of your clients won't mind if you have accomplished something today, related to other customers, but to me, it sounds like a good job done and not an easy one.

Most people in this hobby have plenty of patience so take your time. I expect that you have customers who are not in the hobby though...that might be a different story - they can just learn to be patient.
