It feels quite flimsy, so I'm wondering if it is original or some sort of early franken watch...

I would put the quality at the top level, it's an old company with a long history.

Many of these have passed my bench, easy to service and very reliable.

Just curious but what are they worth these days? I think I got it for about USD500 some years back (was expensive to me then) but was disappointed with it.

It appears to be in a good condition and the black dial is not that common, so I would say that you could expect $600-$700.

It appears to be in a good condition and the black dial is not that common, so I would say that you could expect $600-$700.
