Here it goes, ready for bath... Image

Looking good, shampoo next!
Yup... Now it's in ultrasonic, then goes into good old Elma Image

Aha, you have one of those ancient cleaning devices! I use ELMA 1:9 directly in the ultrasonic and then I wash and dry on the air drier.

Is this device moving from step to step or do you need to time it?

Yes, I have one for regular use and the other for backup... Ultrasonic is great to get rid of many layers of dirt and grease.. However, rotational cleaning removes everything, it really makes everything shiny and clean. Tried various methods and this gives the best results.
I use el a 1:9 too, greay stuff.. After it, T km ae some more bath into isopropyl alcohol and dry on elma heater...

Nice conversion

I've been there done that (almost exactly) in 2016 :)
Almost exactly the same story: I bought a Stowa pocket watch with a 498 movement to cannibalize the movement. But then it felt wrong to destroy such a nice pocket watch, so I converted it into a wristwatch... :)

So you know the feeling I was in a big doubt, simply couldn't cannibalize it...
Great Stowa, btw
