Looking amazing, these case sets pack a lot of value for their price.
Question about the Raffle crown tho, if I’m not mistaken it’s not a ‘plunger’ type crown, as in, it’s made for automatic movements... so when you fully wind you won’t be able to thread the crown without snapping the mainspring... correct me if I’m wrong?

I checked. It is definitely a spring loaded crown. I thought the crown would probably need a stem adaptor but no other issues. I guess "freezing" the crown with glue or solder would fix this.Ciccio wrote: ↑June 17th, 2021, 6:21 am Looking amazing, these case sets pack a lot of value for their price.

However, does it matter if it is spring loaded? I noticed NW’s 6152 crown is spring loaded.

I think the spring is just one element of all screw down crowns... what’s most important when it’s a hand wound movement is how the crown behaves when it’s fully pressed in, ie: it’s able to rotate without turning the stem. I thought the raffles crowns rotated the stem regardless of whether they were pressed in or not. It’s always confusing expressing what I’m trying to say when talking about screw down crowns lolmountaineer wrote:I checked. It is definitely a spring loaded crown. Casebacks are all custom made, stainless steel, engraved like gen.
Those are thicker than backs that comes with those cases.

Is the engraving filled or do they just look so dark/black?

As for spring bars better to use compression bars because those can be made a full length.
Or Athaya spring bars.but those are shorter by 0.5mm.
NW or River bars can't be usee because those are 1.80mm and you can't drill a larger hole than 1.5-1.6mm. lug holes are too close to edge.
Here are some of my previous builds:
All are reshaped, side recess for crown was also removed.
T24 plexi. Stock crown, engraved. 1.50mm compression bars.

T24 plexi. Athaya 8mm crown.

On some angles those are not so dark inside, check S.M.Z here:

Your case pics look great. Hopefully I can come close.
